- Kalaketi Ashram
Ketaketi' in Nepali means children and an 'Ashram' is a home. Our children home provides shelter to 40 kids living with or orphaned by AIDS with the support from Government of Denmark. - Our Care Homes & Referal Centers
For those living with HIV, witnessing the needless deaths of fellow comrades due to lack of basic care and treatment was extremely painful and frustrating. NKP established its first care home in 2003 with the support from SIDACTION.
Today NKP runs care and treatment programs in 25 districts with the support from DFID/UNDP. - The HIV Post (Monthly News)
The HIV Post is a monthly newsletter published by a team of HIV positive journalists .Published regularly since 2003 it covers policy issues, scientific research & findings, interviews, stories & announcement. NKP also publishes a wide range of Treatment Literacy materials in Nepali with the support from HIV I-Base.
Nava Kiran Plus
Nava Kiran Plus (NKP) was established by people living with HIV/AIDS in 2003. Since the inception NKP has never looked back. NKP currently covers 25 districts across the country and provides services to over 300 people on a daily basis. In a short life of 5 years NKP has made a visible difference in the quality of lives of people living with HIV and AIDS in Nepal.
Vision: A right to highest attainable standard of health is secured for everyone despite of their gender, social and economic status.
Mission: To improve the quality of lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and reinstate their rights to live with dignity.-
Goal: By 2010, Ensure that every person living with HIV and AIDS in Nepal
- has universal access to Antiretroviral Therapy.
- has access to easy and affordable treatment and care programs.
- has means to support themselves and those who depend upon them.
- is able to live in an open society without a fear of stigma and discrimination.
